Lebanese Al Naqura 21.12.42

Translation with [comments]

[In 1948 Israel occupied several villages in South Lebanon and retreated after the armistice was signed in 1949]

The area extends over 30 thousand dunams divided into three farms: 1) Al-Naqura 2) Labuna 3) Ascandrona. All the land belongs to the notable Fuad Sa'ad of Haifa. Mazra'at Labuna is leased to Mansur Ibrahim of Kfar 'Amqa [the village destroyed on 10 July 1948] and al-Sha'ab [see file]. Ascandrona is leased to 'Abdallah of Kfar Sham'a in Lebanon. The village of al-Naqura has 800 residents, but they have nothing [no need probably to comment on this] but the houses in which they live.

Mukhtar of the Lebanese al-Naqura is Musa Yazbak. The Yazbak family is large and rich. Members of the family went to Senegal in Africa and returned with a lot of money. The village has a bountiful spring called 'Ayn al-Naqura.
